here in phoenix, our summers can be just a bit too much heat and therefor getting away for a weekend can be just the right thing to refresh. we are indeed fortunate enough to have many gorgeous places just and hour or two away where the heat drops significantly. fresh mountain air, cool creeks, lakes and camp sites can be just the thing. i recently spent the weekend up north enjoying cooler temps with family for father’s day and two of my grandchildren’s birthdays. we had a blast creating a whimsical cake, going on walks, playing games and sipping on summer cocktails. do you have any favorite day trips or weekend getaways here in arizona? do share with us at the shop!
